national standards are maintained and that the British industry
continues to flourish in the light of increased imports
from Asia. This is being achieved through the British Furniture
Confederation www.britishfurnitureconfederation.org.uk
The Association has for many years been
involved in the promotion of excellence and has been involved
in the development of national standards and more recently
its own training programme, which is designed to be delivered
by members of all sizes.
The Association has recently introduced
a consumer code of practice which will become binding on
all members within 12 months. In the mean time consumers
may view the code which is available on the main web site
